Outdoor Happy Place

Project Specifications

East Coast designed and built multiple gorgeous patios, fire pit, landscaped beds, driveway and sustainable stormwater management that earned this client a sizable cash rebate from the county environmental program. Significant stormwater that was once pouring down a back hill is now safely routed and recycled into the ground with an integrated system, including: (1) dry riverbed/rock swale, (2) rain garden, (3) dry well, (4) permeable paver driveway and (5) rock-lined channel. This client’s home and new outdoor spaces are now protected from erosion and flooding. And they are helping the environment by filtering and recycling rainwater back into the soil and water table below.

Before & After

An outdoor, cracked asphalt driveway transitions to a gravel path on the left. The area is bordered by a chain-link fence and greenery. Trees and a wooden fence are in the background, with a grassy area slightly elevated beyond stone steps. A parked car is on the right.A clean and neatly paved driveway made with rectangular interlocking bricks leads up to a blue house with a white garage door. Along the driveway, there is a border of small, white rocks. The garden has a few plants and bushes, with a retaining wall at the far end.
